Jack Johnson "The Sharing Song"

I recently went to see Jack Johnson with my dad. Yes I do a-lot of things with my dad. We had a good time I do have to admit it was a little weird being with my dad while a ton of people smoked pot. That was weird but besides that it was great. The music was really really good. You know how sometimes you get tickets to see an artist and your excited but you have never seen them before so your not really excited. That is how I felt going to see Jack Johnson but as soon as he started playing I knew it was going to be a great concert. I felt like we where all just chilling by the beach and he was sitting there playing the guitar singing for all of us. He has a really good voice and he was funny. I love funny. It was a full house. I highly recomend going to see him if you have a chance. This was one of the songs I liked the most.. Have a great day..

Holiday Soiree 2012

One of my loves is live music. It really makes me feel good to attend live venues. When I heard my local radio station KPRI was having their Holiday Soiree I got really excited and immediately bought tickets.  There are so many parts of going to a show that I like. The anticipation of the event. Getting dressed up in the proper attire. On this particular night I felt lucky because the show was downtown and I was able to walk around before and after the show. I love that.  The show started at 7:30 and it was an intimate show.  The performers had a lot of energy and there were several Christmas Songs during the night.  The singers made mention of San Diego in their songs which got everyone jazzed up.   Then everyone around me stood up and danced.  It was such a fun night...

Sublime Live

This weekend started out the way I way I want every weekend to start, Live Music.  I had heard a couple months ago that Sublime w/ Rome and Cypress Hill were coming to Chula Vista's Cricket Wireless Amphitheater.  Paola and I love Sublime. I remember running my first marathon and listening to them on my Walkman(remember those). We went to the venue and Jockeyed to purchase our tickets.  I thought to myself I hope it's not sold out thankfully it was not.  We had a-lot fun... knowing there are some groups that Paola and I both love helps me feel young.  These bands do bring together lots of crazy happenings.  I danced and I know Paola was thinking "Oh my Gosh how embarrassing my mom is dancing." The good thing is she knows if there is live music my booty is shanking. Paola looked really cute and I felt very much like a mom. ( I like that).  Saturday morning came quick and I had to wake up super early to drive to my Saturday  run.  Unfortunately, I didn't make it.  I guess I had to much fun the night before.   I allowed myself to sleep in and when I woke up I went for a shorter 10 mile run.  When I get home tonight I will post some pictures from Sunday and let you in on how making a dress is way harder than I thought.

River's Edge Music Festival

This will be my last post about last weekend. I know it's kind of overkill but hey that's me. Let me start by saying, in my book, Live Music is right up there with Godliness.  I am debating whether I can afford to go to Coachella next year or if I am going back to Minnesota.  As much as I love new experiences... IF I can pull it off I will attend Coachella...  If not Minnesota here I come.

Polica

Another musical discovery that I mad this past weekend was Polica.  I really liked their music it left me feeling euphoric, like I was hovering through a magical garden... The band is originally from Minnesota so they had a lot of fan support. Did I say I really liked them?  I stayed for the entire show... I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite bands I discovered this past weekend.  I still have a couple more, so please check back.  I hope you like them too.

I had a bad ass weekend.. Full of so many things that makes me happy. Live music and cold beer. Great people watching. Relaxing, good food and lots of laughing and dancing dancing and more dancing.. I am sharing with you  some of my favorite pictures that I took with my camera.. I will share some of my phone pictures later. I am putting a post together about the bands I really liked. I definitely discovered a new favorite. There is something about listing to Dave Mathews, playing a live venue,  that makes me super duper happy..  Especially when I have enough room to dance my little heart out.  I hope you had a great weekend...  I will have lots to share this week.

Oh Lady GaGa

I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Lady GaGa concert last night.

It was so much fun.

First we got ready at my girlfriends house..

and pretended to be GaGa angels..

Then we drove to the concert..

giggled and acted silly in the car..
