Progress yes please

If you are anything like me then you are always looking for ahha moments. I totally heard something today that just grabbed me. It made sense to me in so many ways.  PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION. This is going to be my new mantra. Its about consistently moving forward. You know if you just keep moving forward sometimes taking baby steps and sometimes leaping its progress. I just love that. Yes, I love that it works for running and when your running for a really long time you just have to keep moving forward I can see how these word will come in handy. So there you go I am totally inspired by these 3 words they give me hope. We all need hope.

Finding Inspiration

Sometimes when I really want to create but I just keep putting it of I find the best way to get myself going is to play a game. I call it my Jump Start challenge. This is how it goes. This time I started with a canvas I lost interest in a while ago. It had a lot of colors going on. I set up a couple colors and give myself 1 hour and I take a picture before and put it on Instagram. It helps me get excited when I post it. Then 30 minutes later I take another picture and then 1 hour later I see what I did. This does not mean I am finished just farther than I would of been if I would not have done it. I get inspired and because I am on a time crunch I can't over think it. I usually do not finish but I get close. One more hour on this picture and I will be done. I am going to put it in Jacks nursery.
I hate to change the subject but I am…
Look at this Rad picture from Western States. This is Jeff he ran Western States and finished it this year and I paced him for 38 miles. After the big meeting in Auburn we saw Sally Mcrae and she took a picture with us. She inspires me to work harder. I am a fan of the yellow runner. One of the things I really liked about her was how friendly she was and she makes eye contact when you talk to her. She has a very sweet personality and she is a bad ass runner and she is a mom. I love it. So I had to share. Can you see my huge smile ? I was kinda excited. Have you ever taken a picture with someone you totally look up too ? Here is mine..

Inspiration Saturday

Everyday we need to remind ourselves that yes we trust the choices we have made.  That we are enough. Sometimes it feels like this is all BS but we have to listen to that little voice inside of ourselves and trust that it is true.
So even if its only for one day and that day is today then trust that little voice today. Say yes and see what happens. What do you have to lose. Today I am choosing to trust that I am enough and its all going to be OK.
Happy Saturday

Book Love

I am in Book Love. This is the prettiest book I have ever been gifted. I love the color and the feel of her paintings but the stories they tell about her are the so good too. She was a very interesting woman. I think Frida herself is the biggest inspiration of all.

Thinking on the run

Every day of our lives we are on the verge of making those slight changes that would make all the difference. -Mignon McLaughlinI feel like I am becoming a crazy runner..Its becoming my favorite place to find answers . I do not know if any of this will make sense but its working for me so if just maybe it works for you I want to share it. Let me first say I feel like a-lot of us are having a weird emotional month. I know its been like that for me. Not really sad but I think emotionally uncomfortable . I go through this often so in the process I try really hard to find a way to shift my energy..I found something this summer that's been working for me.
Here it is..here's my example. I have been dedicating my problem or the feeling of being overwhelmed to movement. Now the movement can be different for all of us..I run and I have friends who walk and I know girls that ride there bikes and some that do yoga. It can be any kind of movement I guess this is how I pray but this works so well for me. I get ready to run and in the process I claim my problem..I try really hard not to lie to myself. Then I start running. You can do any kind of movement but you have to get your body moving for a while like 30 minutes or so. Just go. Try not to let your mind wander to much really take charge of the problem AND DON'T STOP MOVING.. It might take a little time find yourself in this practice but don't give up. I find that near the end of my run I see the problem completely different. I might not have the quick answer but I have strength to go through it. Most of the time I feel really enlightened. I see whats bothering in a completely different light. I hope you can try this its like a Sunday for your inner being and just maybe it could help...
With love and hope,
G
