This weekend was one big Birthday celebration.

Wow ...This weekend was one big celebration..My daughter turned 15...Its hard to see your little girl grow up. I have cried a-lot this weekend..I am sad because shes growing up and next year she will be driving.That's just crazy to me..I miss the little dimples on her hands, that super special high little girl voice. She is a good girl and we have a special connection. I just love her and yup she is all grown up and she is no longer little and I just have to accept it...so I want to share what a great present she got thanks to a nice girlfriend from my kids school....We got tickets to see Brittney Spears. How cool is that. They were crazy great tickets too..Guess who I saw at the concert..Ally and Nelli....How cool is that!!! Paola was so happy she just looked at everything in amazement and smiled all night long...She had a wonderful time and The concert was so so freaking great...It was perfect...Okay then the next day Teenage Bowling Birthday Night....midnight bowling and then Saturday night dinner for the whole family....The Whole family.....I am grateful it has passed and happy it went well ...Thank you God..

Starbucks...

The Pink Ninjas have there new inspirational challenge up...its addictions. So, that got me to thinking what are my true addictions...The things that I think I need on a daily basis...I figured it out .I need exercise in order to stay happy...truly ,silly, crazy, happy. I just want it my mind asks foe it and my body tells me lets go....I also need Starbucks..I have a Grande soy latte at 14o degrees everyday...I know the temperature thing seems weird but I hate burning my mouth and I hate having to wait for it to cool off. I don't ever get anything different than that drink. My girlfriend has a Starbucks blog. She visits all these different Starbucks all over and writes about her drinks...She is all into the Pumpkin Spice Latte but she told me that soy Pumpkin Spice is way better..I told her I would wait and we would go together. I can honestly say I liked it...It was good but very filling..It also has 300 calories without whip cream...That's a-lot ..So it will be a good once in a while make a special day coffee drink..Thanks Miss Deidra for the introduction. Thanks Pink Ninjas for getting me to think about the stuff I cant live without that I can talk about...

Tomorrow is Paola's Birthday and wait till I show you what we are doing to celebrate....I don't know who is more excited...Paola or me....

Uncle Mike and me ..and below its just one happy G....

Just for fun and because running is a little painful right now....Uncle Mike and I went on a bike ride last week...It was so much fun and he makes me so happy..He is a great dad to me. Okay so we started of in Chula Vista and rode to Coronado its about 25 miles I think..It doesn't feel that long because if you can try to imagine this...Uncle Mike cant hear very well and we both wear our I pods when we ride..In one ear and he is like a bull in china cabinet... So as we are riding I am yelling CAR uncle mike...STOP uncle mike...THIS WAY uncle mike and his favorite...I GOTTA GO POTTY uncle Mike. All this makes time go by quickly.
When we get to Coronado we hang out a little sit by the beach and get some water and then for 3 dollars we take the feire boat to downtown San Diego..This takes about 10 minutes and yes we are feeling very cool with all of our biking gear and our bikes on a boat ( okay I am feeling kinda cool) Down Town is beautiful and we ride to the convention center wear there is a ton of traffic and yes I am on full looking out for uncle Mike mode..Of coarse we both are feeling a little tired now and were hungry so we stop at this really old pancake house were we used to go when I was little and have breakfast..We talked about me and my life and my kids and the yucky D word and it was great not the D word but having him to talk to...42 miles in all and I have to say once again I love my Uncle Mike he makes me feel very special...He knows I love him too...Oh yeah...The bike ride was even more fun because I had my camera with me and I took many pictures. Clever Knits

I found this amazing super cute little store in Vista...I didn't actually find it a fellow scrapper at the Pink told me about it. She said there is a new store called Clever Knits they have beginning knitting classes...I found the store and I signed up for crochet 101...I know I should be learning to do one thing at a time.I just cant I want to learn to do it all..I know a little crazy but for some reason I feel like I am in some kind of hurry and I am eager to learn. The other thing that I am becoming aware of is that I get it. I understand how to knit I understand how to crochet...I don't understand Math or Algebra....but this stuff I get...I might not be very good but I don't care because I love doing it.
When I was little my Nina (actually my aunt Martha) I lived with her for a couple of years she is my uncle Mike wife...anyway she is very creative she made pottery and she made crochet doilies a-lot. Okay when I was bad or talked back...She would make me help her make little crochet flowers..I am sure that in my childhood I made at least 100 flowers...I think I always loved it. Sitting with her making something. I always wanted to do that with my little girl one day. I thought about how fun it would be to sit with my daughter and make little baby blankets or socks...whatever...I am so lucky because on Thursday night Paola and I got to do just that...We took the 101 class together...I can honestly say that one of my dreams came true...I always wanted to do just that knit or crochet with my little girl and I did...and she likes it and I am a happy mom...

Well its been up...There new prompts to get you creatively inspired go up every wed.....This time it was collections....I do collect a couple things Owls....There so 70s to me..I also collect Nutcrackers ? I don't know how that happened but I have a-lot and I do love how festive they make my house look at Christmas time..I also collect books...How to books...That's it so for sure the funnest of the stuff I choose to collect are owls...Here's my layout...

Doing a little soul searching...

It seems like everyone is going through something right now...I am trying to get over something and I believe we had good days and we have bad days but we still should try to keep moving ...I try hard to look at the bright side and there is always a bright side...Honestly you just have to look for it..Yes it helps that on some occasions I wear my rose colored glasses but hey they work..Mine must be Ray Ban or something...I also look for inspiration everywhere...I try to only talk about how crappy I feel to one person....lucky person ????? I don't know ...I do think part of happiness come with the word try....Just keep trying and don't give up on yourself...We are all beautiful , we are all imperfect in some way or another but we are all also perfect in so many ways... Okay well I found this challenge blog and its cool..Its deep..Its called Point Blank Period...Well here is my take on there first challenge..

Inspired by Celine...

We all have that scrapping blog that's just eye candy to us..right ? One of the most inspirational scrappers to me is Celine Navarro..I love her use of color and the way she puts pictures and product together on a page. The way she sees the whole page is simply scrapylicious to me. She recently started Tuesday tutorials and I this last one just rocked. First My friend Ally did a layout that was one color and my friend Carrie mentioned to me how she wanted to make one because she was so inspired by Ally....Then Celine made a similar creation this Tuesday and well here is what I came up with.....Oh I almost forgot to tel you the story of this picture...Isabella and I were hiking in Idaho it was a short hike we had luch at the top of the mountain and took some pictures...Isa asked me if she could put some of my lipstick on followed by mommy do you have that mirror on you so I can make sure I put it on right. She is a such a girl....

Some weekend stuff...

I am trying to teach myself how to knit....I have a couple of books and I am enjoying the learning process..It seems like it will be fun once I get passed the knit one pearl one section ...I know its a little boring but that's okay..I also finished my ATC for Allys swap..I like making them its different putting together something small.I think they look a little Christmas.I just noticed that looking at this picture.Well I hope you have a blessed weekend..I am off to see Dave Mathews tonight and I am really excited....I really like Dave Mathews its so romantic and lovey.

In celebration

In celebration of the Pink Ninjas hitting 100 followers some of us on the DT did a 100 randon facts layout..Mine are random for sure..I did use my type writer that Uncle Mike got me for my Birthday to type them all out...It made me feel like I was in eighth grade in Sister Mary Daniels Class...good times..

A great weekend..Yup

It was a pretty good weekend for me..My kids came back from visiting there dad..I am so happy to have them back..It was the first time I have ever been away from them..So yes there home with me and they had there first day of school. They were so excited to see there old friends and be back to a routine..Christopher was practicing his math skills last night ..Isabella and I were finding the perfect bow to match her shirt and Paola was of coarse putting her killer outfit together..

On another note I was working on a couple layouts for The Pink Ninjas...Well the prompts are so cool and every time they email us whats coming ahead..The paper wheels in my head start turning and I get scrappy happy....So go on over there and check them out..

I took a little kinda road trip

I wanted to make this mini album fast..I wanted to still feel the road trip...Have it all in mind..It was fun to put together and it kinda made me sad that it was over but very grateful for the memories...

I have been...

I have been keeping busy...Clearing out little kids closets and mommy's closet too..I am really not good at it. I just have such a hard time with giving away a little dresses that brings me right back to a precious memory. All of them remind me of something sweet about my little girl...Okay my stuff well so much of my old clothes bring me back to some fun time I did this or that in it...Its almost like I can feel the day in the clothes...silly but I am doing it ..I hate to say getting rid of my old clothes so I will say I am putting it away nicely so someone else can enjoy it.

I have been scrapping late hours of the night away...I love making stuff late late at night...The challenge is up for the Glorious Pink Challenge ..This is my layout for it but you will have to jump over there to see what the challenge is....Oh and I made a little scrapbook with some of the kit from book club at the Pink...I love it..the mini book and book club....

How could I forget my beautiful daughter started high school today...I took her out for a nice lunch at the Belly up and then we went to have Starbucks.
