One word Project..

I really enjoy reading The Shutter Sisters blog...It makes me feel good to read it and the pictures are amazing...kinda like eye candy...They have the One Word project . Its very cool to look through you pictures to find the picture that says that one word to you..or if you plan ahead just having that special word in mind and then just having that one word moment happen and taking that special picture. So I feel like for me its finding that special blog or a story that is written that helps me stop . Really stop and recognize whats going on in that moment and in me...There word for October was Illuminate..

The picture that did it for me was this one...Here is the story behind it. I am driving back to the airport from the Unearth Retreat....I am in the company of 3 beautiful females.. Chrissy , Jennifer and Kolleen...I am driving and one of the girls is on the phone telling her girls how much she loves them..I am looking at this road ahead of me and I grab my camera and take this picture...I felt this moment I felt completly Illuminated by what I was privalenged to expirience though out the weekend and also by this road it was beautiful and I felt strong to go were it was taking me ...I was and felt Illuminated....

Scarlett came by for a visit..

Having a little girl who loves any kind of dress can be so much fun..This is a Southern Bell costume but to me its Scarlett. ..

I had lots of fun with this journal..I took that picture the day I got my hair cut so I felt pretty...I love felt so I added some too..Just happy colors..on another note I added most of the blogs of the amazing friends I met in Oregon on the left hand bar on my blog so if I didn't include you and you would like me too please just leave me a comment and I will....I also finished loading all the pictures from the retreat to flicker....it felt like it took forever...okay well tonight is the Halloween crop at the Pink Pineapple and I am going to go decorate my Witches Hat...Hee Hee

Circle Journals

A circle Journal is a journal that you put together and you pass along to a bunch of friends and each of them decorates a page in your book...They can alter it or paint on it or scrap it ,sew on it..It doesn't matter as long as you friend decorates it...Your good..at the end you all come together and you have a finished book that holds little memories of all your friends....at least that's what it is to me..I finished two last night..Jenn's and Krysties so here's what I came up with....Krystie did something super cool she had us alter CD cases and she asked where do we see ourselves in 5 years...like a little time capsule only in scrapbook form....love it !

After much thought I decided that I honestly dont really like to travel on planes and I love the USA...honestly do....That if I won the lotter I would sell my house buy a big orange motorhome..can you see it...and travel all over the US with my kids...How cool is that..That would so do it for me...

a little story..

I want to share a little story about my new friend I met this weekend...at the be present retreat...Yes, going by yourself can be scary and intimidating you know..but my new friend Mindy was the perfect roomate...She was so sweet and Oh my she had the most beautiful Southern accent...It was just what I needed.. I get super shy sometimes ..I get scared when I dont really know everyone and then I am quite...but Mindy was a good friend took a walk with me on the beach and just was kind very kind...Then came the day we painted with Kelly-rea...OMG....yeah I know...Well there I am doing my painting thing....while sitting next to my friend new friend Mindy and as Kelly-rea is walking around helping us...at this point I am thinking could it get any better...could it be any more perfect....I am in artist heaven.I am simply happy..Thank you Kelly-rea for your ability to teach and be such an inspiration..to me and helping me to be a better girl........

they were incredible...go check it out honestly good stuff......amazing stuff...oh and she runs too..Thank you mindy for being there and making my weekend so special...I love you too..

what I am feeling right now...

I am on my way home and waiting at the airport with a pretty long layover in Phoenix...so I thought I would right about my experience the last four days...I am sure I will have many more stories to tell later too...First let me say that if you ever get the opportunity to attend an art retreat like this one unearth retreat . The kind were you get on an airplane or drive real far to meet together with a group of woman you have never met before and make art...It sounds scary hu...It is scary and it takes a-lot to do it...but this being my second retreat I have to say I had the most magical creative,spiritual experience of my life at these events...

I can't say enough good things about it..I made amazing friends that I am going to keep in touch with..I had conversations with woman that I have admired for so long..Woman who are full of wisdom and see other females for who they are..They now you by name. You matter at these retreats..I fell in love with this lady named Marylin..She called me bird..(i like that) My heart is so full of appreciation for my experience...I am in ahhh.....

Not to mention the Art and Yoga and meditation we did.....I cant wait to play with my pictures from Oregon..I had no idea that it was so beautiful..Wow..its toook my breath away..

where am I ?

Oh my ....I am at this very moment sitting on the coach in a little house in Manzanita ,Oregon..It is beautiful here..Its been raining of and on but its just so beautiful with or without rain here..The trees are huge and really green, not San Diego Green and the coast is so calming and peaceful.

I signed up to do this art retreat ..This Painter Kelly-Rea that I had the privilege of taking another class from in February taught today..She is the reason I signed up..She is so real and centered and she is a amazing teacher.

This class was different than the last one for me because I didn't over think it. I just let go and let myself paint. I didn't think about it or Analise it. It was good...

I am super excited to share my trip...

This is kind of how it is...You see a swap and you love the girl that's hosting it...in this case its Carrie.. You love the store its being held at in this case its the store I am completely loyal too..The Pink Pineapple..You know its going to be good ,yeah you can feel it...You wait till the last minute or in this case the day before and you put it together and you feel good about your pages...The creative thing is flowing and its colorful.....You show up the day of the swap and guess what..Your fellow female creators also did a great job and You go home with a rocking finished album...and two cupcakes in your tummy..So Thanks Carrie for putting together such a great swap..

As I was having a wonderful cup of coffee I came across this forwarded email my friend Cathy sent me....Okay I am still laughing...why ? I thought this was so funny....I would totally do as Betty did..I just would....Have a good day!!!! Oh gosh...:)

About the bowl of water and its
strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer
resist.

' Miss Beatrice ', he said,

'I wonder if you would tell me about
this?' Pointing to the bowl.

'Oh, yes,' she replied, 'Isn't it
wonderful?

3 and me..

I started making this mini book for my kids to represent this summer and whats been going on and why. I took one of my favorite pictures of each of them from this last month and wrote them each a small card....It was helpful for me to make a place were I could write down all these little things I want to explain to them that I really don't know how to talk about just yet...

What is going on ....

....A couple things are going on for me..I continue to be consistently inspired by this amazing french scrapper, artist, teacher..This layout below is by Celine its the one that I just love love its so happy and full of life and color...Thank You Celine for your amazing Tuesday Tutorials....I love them...Tuesday is now officially my favorite day...I recently bought this little painting from a The art hermit...She has the cutest ladies and she makes me smile...I love how shes thinking....
Okay and here is what I have been doing since I cant run or bike for 3 more weeks and its making me a little crazy...I have taken up knitting and crochet...I can't do one thing at I time I must do two...so when my amazing attention span stops I have something else to move on too..Oh yeah...I painted this rock for my beautiful Isabella because she misses me when I go out so I thought this would help...she still missed me....Today should be wonderful..I am spending a couple of hours with my friend Carrie....She is so perfectly Carrie....Have a wonderful day...
