My little brother got married...

My sweet little brother got married two weeks ago..I love him for many reasons. One of them being that I did not have the privilege of growing up with him and there for I know we missed out, another reason is his belief in God is Amazing. He always take the time to pray for me or listen when I cry. We did not get to really bond in anyway growing up but as adults our love is there. He asked me to take some pictures at his wedding..I am sharing my favorites with you.

The really cool thing for me was watching the celebration of there love for each other. I pray they make it and that God will bless them with understanding and respect for each other. He is such a good husband to her, he takes care of her and listens to her..I cried at there wedding because I felt so proud of him.
I hope to be able one day to believe like he does. To forgive the way he does.

Your Appointment with Friday

Hey guys Thanks for joining Carrie and I this Friday, My BFF Carrie came up with this Friday photo prompt and I dig her Idea. Well as you know if you read my blog I love paper. I also Love mail. I love sending mail and I love getting mail. I know that this is a crazy busy time of year for all of us, and that its also the time of year were if you don't live close to your family or friends ..You miss them. So Carrie came up with the coolest funnest Idea. I wish you were here.

You take a map that has your actual city on it . The map below has were I was born and the city I live in..Cool hu..

and take a picture of it..I put a heart around mine with white paint. Carrie just went all out with hers. I have to tell you that's one of the coolest things about Carrie and I and out friendship we love the same things but our creativity is totally different. I love that we create UN- alike.
So what now.. You have to wait until Monday to see what Carrie came up with..Its so cool. So take picture of a map of were you live and then come back Monday for Carrie mini present she is making for us...Have a great Friday and just keep smiling...

Project Monday

Welcome to Project Monday I am so glad you are able to stop by and join Carrie and I on our fun project.This was a really fun prompt COMFY COZY..The weather in San Diego right now is cold and its gray outside. This is the type of weather that brings my thoughts to Cozy... Warm Blankets and fire places maybe some warm socks or that perfect scarf.
I started with my mini layout with a completely different idea than the one I finished with. I love when that happens. I used small pieces of wool and tiny butterflies because Carrie love tiny.
I used Glimmer mist in black because its October not because I thought it would match. I put a heart in there because hearts make me happy. Then I put all that on a piece of We r memory Keepers paper took out the sewing machine and TAAA DAAA...(being funny there) My project Monday ....I hope you like it..

Lets take a trip into my head for a bit. I am really excited about these two word together and to see what they mean to you. To me my Cozy Comfort was captured in this picture. Its when the covers start to feel warm on you. When the pillow or the sofa feels just right on your body. Its twinkling lights that give a spark of warmth to that little girl in all of us. Knowing your P.Js are wrinkled and your hair is messy but its all ok because your Cozy and you found some yummy Comfort.

Book Club by Elena

I went to book club tonight. I had so much fun. My friend Elena invited me and I am so glad I went. We hung out and talked crafts. I love talking crafts.
Elena shared with us some magical stuff she made at Brave Girls Camp.

Project Monday

Here we go..Carrie and I are both really excited to show you what we came up with. These are some of the things I used to create my mini-page. I wanted the whole tradition and fall feel and I think I got that. In my head anyway...
Carrie and I had a blast taking pictures and just being silly girls together.. If you visit carries blog you can see what she came up with . She also has links to our flicker group if you want to join us. Well let me explain my page. The paper is from the Lizzy collection. The ribbon from making memories. The ink splatter gives it some randomness. I love random elements on pages. The buttons for examples I just through on there and glued them where ever they landed. Oh and the little piece of clothe is just sweet randomness..Ohhh ,,,,I love paper crafting. If you want to play along ..please do !!!

Welcome to your appointment with Friday, sorry I am late..I am so glad you were able to join us this Friday. Please make yourself at home. ( I really wanted to write that) Carrie and I have our new photo prompt for this week... It's Tradition...........
It's so true that around this time of year even if we are overwhelmed with kids and work. We cant help but suddenly realize its Fall. Things are a little sweeter. The air is a bit chilly. We order different drinks and buy things like Pumpkins. That magical time of year is almost here. Our family will be here soon. Even though for most of us it can be overwhelming I think the trick is to let Tradition happen . To enjoy it and not rush through it.
Here it is a pumpkin on my head..Looking up at what this fall will bring, Pumpkin Lattes and Pumpkin Pie. Pumpkin Carving and Pumpkin painting...So we would love it if you played along with us. Take a picture of whatever it is that represents tradition to you...

Project Monday

Hello! And welcome to Project Monday! This is where Carrie and I will share with you the projects we created with our Friday prompts.

Last Friday's prompt was A little Fall in your step, were we tooks photos of those Fall shoes that add just a little bit of whimsy to this wonderful season.

For my project I decided to make a sweet little tag that I will probably add to a minibook or Fall layout : )

Here are some of the main steps I used to create it.....

1.) Cut a rectangle and then stitch a dress pattern sheet over the top, trimming excess off the edges.

2.) Wrap different colors of yarn around the center. I then added the brown pokadot paper and stitch it all down at the same time.

3.) Printed out my photo, and typed words onto a flash card. I then cut strips and trimmed the edges with fancy scissors. I stitched the photo down with the word strips layered over the edges to make a unique frame.

4.) Found a leaf from the yard and pinned it to the tag.

5.) Added the tag hole and ribbon at the top, and that's it. Simple with some cool techniques with happy Fall colors.

My Story of St. George.

The day started really early .I had to be on the bus at 4 a.m. I couldn't really sleep anyway but that's still early. School buses drove us to the starting line. They had a great set up waiting for us. They had coffee , hot chocolate, food ,sunscreen , warm gloves , blankets. They even had a D.J. The atmosphere was very cool..oh and people from Utah are so nice too..I got tired early on and I had a tummy ache and after thinking about it .I figured it out. My dad brought all the snacks on this trip. That included Chips and cookies and candy. I had to much junk food and my tummy was sad. The people are so nice here. I love Utah peeps. Here are some facts about today race that I thought were fun. 24 kids under 14 years old ran the race. 4 people over 80. One guy was running his 304Th marathon he was 65 years old. This marathon is in the top ten marathons in the U.S. and there was someone here from 48 states..

Here I am running at mile 22 ..Christopher took this picture. I am blowing them kisses..I was so tired and I was actually counting my steps.Yeah, I was pooped. At this point It was all mental. Yes , you can and the little engine that could were on my mind.
I did it in 3:53 minutes..8 minutes slower than what I wanted but hey I did my best and it was 7 minutes faster that my last one . So slowly but surely I will just keep trying to qualify for Boston. Its a dream of mine so I will keep dreaming..
Here's the cool medal its made out of red rock. My dad was such a huge help he watched my kids while I ran. He drove and he told me no matter what I showed up and he was proud of me. I love my dad..I had a great time and let me tell you I AM SO TIRED....

The night before..the marathon

I saw these great sayings on t-shirts during the expo. I just feel so touched to be able to understand what they mean. I know I am a total dork. I am so excited and I have done this so many times. I thought maybe it was because of the whole time thing but its not. Its because I feel totally grateful. Grateful that I can run. I love that even though its just a race its more like I am taking the time to experience life for me. I may not ever qualify but really whatever its all about the ride.

I guess don't be afraid to try something that might take you a life time to master..Its a beautiful journey to be on..good night and thanks to my girlfriends who believe I can..love you G

here are mine...I just love the brown and the look ..So what do we do With the photo. My dad will be here in about 3 hours to pick me and the little ones up as we set of for St George Utah. I know I am supposed to be sleeping but packing for events always freaks me out. What if I forget something.
